"The type of energy artists put into their work has an effect on the artist, the viewers, and the collective psyche. Artists need to consider what type of energy they want to put into the world". Alex Grey, the mission of Art

Currently Leslie works with video to capture the movement and changing shape of light. Previous work includes a series of hand-painted intaglio prints on hand-made paper, collage, and mixed media followed with acrylic paintings.

As an only child living in the countryside with few neighbors, self-entertainment was crucial. Leslie’s mother had a passion for making things and let her play with clay and paint on old wood. "Creativity was my solace, my connection with the muse, my first friend. I think this made me fearless when it comes to materials. I have never met an art material I don't enjoy working with; the challenge is to figure out what the inherent properties are, what it easily becomes and then push it in another direction, to challenge the material and your skills to become a master of the medium you are working with. I have approached each art medium I have encountered, with curiosity and inquiry. Experimenting with what the material wants to be, followed up with - what else can this do?"
