"I’m disabled with a spine disease and live with chronic debilitating pain. I create my art digitally using photoshop as painting my pictures is too physically demanding. Making art is my salvation, allowing me to escape from pain and the emotional toll it takes. As an architect, I studied the art and architectural history of many cultures. Islamic art and architecture is among the biggest influence on my work. My work is not derivative of it, but I use geometry in a similar way, to convey in a non-representational form, a path to express the beauty of the world."
