Aysel Gozubuyuk
“By incorporating emerging technologies into my artworks, I'm redefining painting which is one of the traditional categories of art. I paint my drawings digitally, so I can create more successful works in less time than real painting.”
Aysel Gözübüyük was born in Bayburt in 1952 and received her master's degree in painting from Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. In her works, she refers to basic problems of humanity such as racism, gender or class discrimination, focusing on the conflicts derived from individual’s relations with society. She advocates women's freedom, in the face of increasing discrimination, gender discrimination in particular.
