"At my core I'm an artist who is inspired by the natural world to produce abstract works."

"My mediums are oil on canvas and ink on paper. I am inspired by the creation of patterns: abstract and representative and the visual and aural. This search for new patterns influences my day to day process. I aspire to create new sensory experiences for those who come in contact with my work.My latest ink drawings are inspired by the struggle between man and nature. For me the often destructive relationship that man and machine has with natural world is a source of frustration. I find an inner solace in the process of documenting and drawing this continuing struggle."

"My oil paintings come from a need to create something completely unrestrained. In a way standing in juxtaposition to my ink work which is influenced by determinism. Flora, fauna and the designs and arrangements that are the substance of nature also influence these large scale oil works.Once I have the bold outline of a new ink work, I focus on the minute detail. This focus of mind allows me to expand a drawing organically using repetition, balance and rhythm with each stroke of the pen being determined by the preceding line."

"My oil paintings are created using sweeping expanses of oil paint that are pulled across complex and layered under-paintings to reveal calm blurs of colors shot through with intense vertical and horizontal forms. These works are often lead by the natural interactions that occur through the blending and mixing of pigments."
