"I am an artist living and creating in Houston. I paint with acrylic and pastel to create expressionist work using vivid color and texture.I was born and raised in San Francisco. My family is from El Salvador. Their past, my past and my present are the sources of inspiration for my work."
"I paint versions of the same face over and over, each layer builds upon the next and creates a sense of depth and movement. I keep that process open ended since it allows me to be free of any expectations. Paintings sometimes take many months to create or a few hours, it all just depends on the canvas and my mindset. I try not to overthink my art as I create it, in this state is where my best work is created."
