I started my art journey later in life and have found it a great way to express beauty. Being attracted by Dutch academics and masters, I tried to emulate some of their works and techniques. This then grew into a love for looser pieces and abstracts. Since I have a background in information technologies, I additionally picked up creating fractals thanks to my son’s insistence. I’ve had significant success with digital art and fractals specifically, but not exclusively.

It is such a privilege to stir a soul or stimulate a mind in another being. Creating art up to that task is the goal of my efforts in the arts no matter the medium.
— Jim Sinur

Sinur is an artist who loves to play with colors, light, and shadows to create works that please the viewers with his version of beauty. While starting with traditional oils to pursue realistic paintings, he branched out to looser works leveraging acrylics. Later, he embraced digital art through the creation of fractals (a type of mathematical shape that is infinitely complex) that leverage math to generate art. He loves to create 2D fractals that show 3D depth with black backgrounds. He spent his teen years in his room sketching and working with India Ink, highlighted by charcoal colors.

Sinur has participated in collaborations with music producers, presenting his digital art as a medium through which one can further appreciate music. The mathematical presence in his work generates a certain movement that presents a fascinating union between the two mediums.

“An imagination creates or summarizes a life, an event, or an object whose vibrance is often expressed in vivid color and motion.” - Jim Sinur

Sinur is still pursuing new art methods and outlets.
