“I've always question myself on this and most of my works are about my identity as a Muslim Malay woman in Malaysia and i have a series of photos taken at the beach with my props as the beach is the best way for me to cleanse myself, be present and reflect on myself with my current surroundings. It is about reminding myself that my past will not define my whole life and I too deserve a good ending, it is about believing no matter where I came from and every time I do this self reflection it always reminds me of how far I've travelled in this self journey, finding myself from being this small town girl from the east coast of Malaysia to who I am today. To embrace my being and to have faith in a better future.”
