"I was born in Como, a little town in Northern Italy on a lake of glacial origin that bear the same name, surrounded by mountains. I remember the colors surrounding the lake when I was young and my countless attempts of recreating the dramatic juxtapositions I was seeing. The sky there is the bluest of blue and the lake the darkest petrol, contrasts so sharp to take your breath away. There were churches and buildings with all the frescos and relevant history. Graffiti on every street corners and posters pasted on walls. I was constantly inspired and challenged. Introvert by nature I’ve been making art for as long as I could pick up a pencil. It is still to this day my refuge from the lurking chaos of the outside world. I spent my childhood, my teen, and my young adult years in Italy. As an adult, I’ve spent most of my time in and around New York City. Getting inspired every single day by the many facets, the depth and shallows of colors, people and emotions. I think that’s a pretty good mix. These days I split my time between parenting and a career in visual art, textile and product design. I am a 'manufacturer of images'."
