“In many ways, female sexuality has long been considered forbidden. Women have been suffocated for centuries by standards set upon them by society. In "Lead Me Not into Temptation," we see two women- one, a nun who is conflicted and looking for guidance, and the other, who whispers into her ear- tempting her. The internal struggle the nun faces is nearly palpable. She yearns to be more than what is expected of her- her soul be damned. She is drawn to her truth, yet breaking the expectations that have been set upon her is a quest that seems insurmountable. Women are held to impossible standards and shamed for not adhering to them. I aim to explore the truths that have been long silenced; to let women show the world who they are - instead of who they are supposed to be.”
