“In the actual state of things, I feel that I have to consider what identity is in its virtual dimension. We all have, nowadays, a virtual presence, which is made of things we want other to see of ourselves. These elements we choose to share are what we consider the best parts of us. From my point of view, this choice is really interesting because it tells what are the dreams and the expectations of our society, but it also tells about what we want to hide from the eye of the public. In my self portrait series, self reflection is a way to combine the hidden and the exposed, a way to explore the role of our environment in the building of identities.”
