“People intrigue me—a purple-haired lunch lady, a high heeled, perfumed woman walking down Madison Avenue, a couple arguing openly on a park bench. They all have a story to tell and I love a good story. In my native New York City, subjects of my art constantly surround me. They supply the initial spark that gives birth to the work.
These portraits are part of my ongoing project, In Character - a series of cinematic portraits depicting fictional characters portrayed by actors. Each photograph is part of a larger untold story and depicts private moments where characters are truly themselves—for better or worse. The tone of each photograph is set by the character’s emotive expression, their dress, the lighting, and art direction.”
