"I love paint. I love working with the viscosities, and the new mediums, and the alchemy involved in creating painterly effects... paint is a fabulous medium to mimic nature (my main source of inspiration), and for me as the creator, I garner great joy from facilitating this mimicry of nature, by ways of employing natural forces (such as gravity, and the varying fluidity of paint). So, in all, I am inspired by nature (be it the wilderness, or the buzz of a large city), and the act of painting itself."

"I am a painter, and although I currently call Melbourne home, I have a second home in the southern tip of Tasmania where I frequent and connect with the many cold and aline-esque landscapes. Originally I am from Brisbane, Queensland (in Australia's north) which is a land of sunshine, beaches and reefs, and the formative years here, I believe has informed my palette and aesthetic. I think of my work as organic-psychedila."

"My paintings are all very multi-layered, and this enables me to create great contrasts in opacity and also in texture. I use pours to create effects, and I manoeuvre and depress the canvas to manipulate the paint into desired forms. I have a certain amount of control, but that is balanced with what I leave to chance. I use patterns appropriated from the city or the wilderness to add depth and detail to the final layers of my work."
