Alexandra Loftus

Alexandra, I have a question for you.  How exactly do you capture an image like the one with the palm tree aflame?   Do you happen upon an almost existential moment, and just happen to capture it perfectly?  Are you an arson and a photographer?  How did you make the half deteriorated basketball hoop feel so gorgeous and profound?  Do you make this magic or are you particularly adept at calling out the unreal, the ethereal, the unbelievable that is all around us?   Either way, I am deeply impressed.
