GABRIELLA ANOUK
In my artistic practice, I aim to provoke curiosity and introspection, encouraging viewers to question the motivations behind my chosen subjects. I seek to create a subtle discomfort by contrasting the natural beauty of fruit with the synthetic, almost vulgar sheen of slime. Additionally, I enjoy revealing the sensual nature of everyday objects, which can be surprising and confronting to some, while exciting to others.
— GABRIELLA ANOUK

Gabriella Anouk is a British / Dutch contemporary artist practicing hyperrealism drawing using coloring pencils. She merges several styles including fine art, photorealism, surrealism and pop art.  Her work is influenced by shine and sculpture-like objects and distorting them in her own way. Be it through the use of slime or plastic as references, or playing with scale, it is hard to believe her work is a drawing!

A big lover of Dalí's absurd and surreal style, Gabriella says, "The juxtaposition of a beautiful, natural piece of fruit against synthetic, almost vulgar, shiny slime is so attractive and interesting to me."

Gabriella has developed her creativity across social media platforms and is hugely influential and inspirational introducing many of her 500k followers to art for the first time, whilst sharing the development of her practice.
