"I think photography is the image of our modern world."

"I'm Juan Calderón. I'm 20 years old, finishing my degree in Audiovisual Communication and I'm beginning to develop a vision through photography. I was born in a little city of Colombia named Pasto."

"Through ideas and the proposal of color intention and composition I always try to tell a story, each different from the other; and to understand that photography can be more than just an image, where there is always a predominant concept in the proposals through the visual and narrative part, with an intention of background in the direction of Models and characters. I think photography is the image of our modern world. Photography is not about just shooting. Is about the story behind the picture. The intention and the astonishing things the photographer shoot that the people actually don't appreciate in the construction of the picture. Every person, model or maid, tells a story. People come with their own colors."

"For me, there are four important aspects in creating a photograph: the technical concept, the management model and post production. Through this, I wish to explore the field of photography in different areas and combines it with visual narratives and combining aesthetics from photographers like Edward Steichen, Robert Demanchy or Rudolf Eickmeyer, Paolo Roversi and Mario Testino and painters from all ages like Otto Dix or Caravaggio."
