“My photography strives to capture the pure essence and showcase human’s inner core. Non-linear movements and genuine expressions are my focal point, as I explore human nature and our connection to the planet. The continual loss of various species and unadulterated green space harms each of us more than we realize. Society has imposed harmful borders that limit us, and by breaking through these barriers, prejudices, and unnecessary conceptions, we can begin to heal the wounds between our psyches and the living world. My photographs are intended to free people enough that they may get back to their true nature.

The loss of wilderness and species is already taking place - we are in midst of the sixth mass extinction. The memory of what has been lost is already vanishing. It is  hard to remember what has changed since our childhood, and even harder to imagine what had changed since before we were even born. This shifting baseline makes us perceive nature inaccurately.

Due to short life-spans and faulty memories, humans have a poor conception of how much of the natural world has been degraded by our actions, because our ‘baseline’ shifts with every generation, and sometimes even in an individual. “Generational amnesia is when knowledge is not passed down from generation to generation. For example, people may think of as ‘pristine’ wilderness the wild places that they experienced during their childhood, but with every generation this baseline becomes more and more degraded.” (Dr. E.J. Milner- Gulland) The time has come to recover and recall knowledge, to remember and to stand up to defend our natural world and home”.
