“It wasn’t like one day I chose to be an artist or that it had even been on my radar as a possibility, it was more like it chose me - akin to answering a calling rather than choosing a career.
So I listened to the call and followed the breadcrumbs that eventually led me to amazing teachers who opened me up seeing in new ways - opened me up to seeing myself as an artist, as a creator.
You could say that as an artist I never really emerged; it was more like I evolved, over time - not overnight. Often over the years I’ve considered giving up altogether but creating continues to call me, new ideas/visions inspire me, haunt me, until I find a way to express them in the world; seeing those ideas come to life, making the work - I can’t imagine doing anything else”.
