“Inspiration, for me, is driven by frustration. How can I distill an idea or concept down into a visual mark that can be digested in the moment that it is viewed? How can I redefine the core of a book/play/movie/article/musical composition into something that you can be intrigued by, and want to know more about, without resorting to a thousand words? The frustration is that inspiration is everywhere today.
But, to not create is to discount and ignore all these concepts - to say that they are not important to our lives. And, simply put, that is inconceivable to me.”
