MIGUEL BRIONES

For over forty years, photographer Miguel A. Briones has worked in numerous venues such as  fine art, fashion, wildlife, and travel photography. He is particularly interested in capturing “the essence of individuals and human nature” and has documented ancient cultures such  as The Mayas and The Aztecs.

For the last ten years, Briones has focused on his own fine art photography, an aerial series from small planes, helicopters, and drones that documents the vastness, complexity, energy, and vulnerability of the earth.  The result is a growing body of work entitled “Textures of Our Earth”.

Briones purposely embraces a classical mode - in his words, “almost impersonal, serene and contained, dominated by temperance”.

Briones work has been exhibited in his native Mexico and in the United States and included in publications such as ELLE, Vogue, Hola, and Architectural Digest.
