"I have a lot to say about the state of the world and the legacy we're leaving for our children."
"My diplomas tell me I'm a horticulturalist and landscape architect, but my heart tells me I'm a photographer. After living most of my adult life in the Cayman Islands, I decided to move back to my roots in central Illinois after getting married and having a child. I'm now a full time photographer living and working in Illinois."
"My family, friends and nature are my subjects of choice."
"I'm inspired to create because of my love for my family and nature both, and I'm compelled to create for the same reasons. I have a lot to say about the state of the world and the legacy we're leaving for our children. Photography has given me a beautiful way to share my world and thoughts on my world with others."
"When I first started photography I learned the 'old fashioned' way through shooting black and white film, processing my own film and printing in a darkroom. Although I now shoot with a digital camera, I still use black and white film sensibilities when looking at a scene. I think it's given me a great advantage to get my digital work exactly how I like it. The majority of my work is documentary in nature, but I'm beginning to explore conceptual work a little more."
