"My first photograph was of my biggest role model. She was my guide to the outside world - away from my suffocating small town. She was my favorite aunt. We spent one rainy Saturday in Seattle, using a North facing window in her bedroom as our light source. We took polaroid after polaroid of each other. I was shy but she was patient. From then on I wanted to take photos."

"My favorite thing to do is shoot film. Especially with my Mamiya C330. She's my baby! Usually it takes me a while to finish a roll of film because I'm just shooting moments as they come. Sometimes I'll do photo shoots as well but my favorite photographs are the spontaneous moments that I'm never fully certain will turn out."
