MELORA WALTERS
Born in Saudi Arabia to American parents, Melora Walters experienced a childhood divided between Saudi Arabia and Holland. Additionally, she spent several summers on her grandparents' farm in Northwestern Arkansas.
Melora Walters, now residing in California, is not only an accomplished actress but also a visual artist. Her artistic pursuits span a range of mediums, including painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. She earned her BFA from the Pratt Institute and is a member of the Actor’s Studio in New York.
Walters is an American painter whose work explores the meaning of being alive. She is deeply interested in psychology and the human experience, and explores these topics through varied media, including oil on canvas, enamel, analogue photography, sculpture and pencil. Her inspiration comes from philosophers and psychologists such as Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, and Marie Louise von Franz among other intellectuals. Walters addresses emotional themes with pared-down directness and intensity, often portraying ferocious animal archetypes and exploring mythological narratives.
