VERA NEEL
Vera Nee was born in southern Siberia, Russia, where they absorbed the beauty of nature during their formative years. Their artistic soul always sought expression through various forms of art, with ballet, music, drawing, and photography serving as constant companions throughout their childhood and young adulthood.
The renowned artist, Vera Neel, has had a passion for drawing since childhood. Through her use of color, light, shadows, and form, she has become an award-winning artist and the proud owner of Art Mozaik gallery in Santa Fe, NM.
Vera's focus is in creating stunning landscapes that reflect the beauty of New Mexico using oil paint and palette knife. Her work has been exhibited in prestigious local and international venues and has earned her numerous awards. Vera's inspiration comes from the world around her, and her goal is to create pieces that evoke wonder and curiosity in viewers. She believes that art has the power to connect people and convey emotions beyond language. Vera is always experimenting with different mediums, subjects and techniques to push the boundaries of her art and challenge herself creatively. Her artistic pursuits bring her a sense of fulfillment and joy that she hopes to share with others.
“My desire to paint is an inescapable force, a compulsion that goes beyond mere interest. It’s as necessary to me as breathing and living. I perceive life as a vibrant palette of colors, and I find music in the rhythm of dance. My ambition is to translate these experiences onto the canvas, using my palette knife and paints as my tools.
Perhaps I am a bit eccentric, a tad unconventional... but maybe that’s just a sign of my happiness. After all, I am fortunate enough to do what I love, and love what I do, and that is an artist’s true euphoria.”
