Open Call In transition B_Mesa de trabajo 1.png

THEME:

In Transition harnesses the uncertainty that encapsulates the time period we are living in today: (a) transition from Lockdown to whatever our new reality holds, (b) a transition from in person viewing of art to to some new reality that hopefully is the best of both worlds, and (c) a transition from four years of oppression and animosity to progressive ideas to a more open world that better supports creatives. Join us and drive the future!

See|Me is proud to announce our first judge for #ArtinTransition, Jia Jia the Creative Director at Standard Arts in NYC. Standard Arts is a comprehensive arts and design firm working with world leading developers and hospitality firms. Working with companies like Ritz Carlton (the new Mexico City Ritz-Carlton) and architects like David Chipperfield (The Bryant, NYC), Standard Arts identifies talented artists and places work in special, multi-year installations.  We are thrilled to welcome Jia to our judging panel, leading the way In Transition!

The best thing about attending Art Basel is??? The People! And, one of the best is Annie Taylor, Head of Exhibitor Relations @ SCOPE. So, while we are going to miss attending SCOPE during Art Basel Miami this year we are thrilled to welcome Annie as our newest judge for #ArtinTransition. Annie previously worked at Phillips AuctionDoyle Auction, and Arader Galleries. She has a degree in Art History and Business from Tulane University in New Orleans and can recommend the best gumbo in the city.

Art is one of the most challenging industries to succeed, certainly as an artist, and perhaps more so as an entrepreneur. One of the most challenging is Ethan James Appleby. Ethan worked on the Louvre project and Museum Island for the Abu Dhabi Court of the Crown Prince, he famously founded Vango which was named by Apple as a Best New App, he co-founded and produced State of the Art Podcast and now is driving the growth of @art on Instagram, with over 500k followers! Plus he's a great guy with an strong eye for artistic talent. Please welcome Ethan as the newest addition to our judging panel for #ArtinTransition.

Increasingly over the past 20 years the world of art and fashion have collided.  After all, great art and fashion both flow from excellent taste. Monti G. Benavides *has* excellent taste and an eye for art as the visionary and founder behind Mint & Rose, a rapidly growing women’s shoe company whose products exude taste and refinement. As a Spanish woman, Monti is passionate about the Mediterranean lifestyle and its culture and is often looking to the art world to inspire her artisan-crafted products.
