THE YARD TAKEOVER

SeeMe is proud to share an opportunity to enter Standard Arts’ Emerging Artists Program and have your work featured in midtown Manhattan.

Four artists will be featured in The Yard’s offices in the Flatiron District of Manhattan for three months (August - October 2019). Each artist will be featured on an entire floor with 6-15 pieces per artist (depending on the size of the works) that may be exposed to hundreds of tenants and guests every day. The program commences with a launch party on August 15th that chosen artists & guests will be invited to attend.

Artists whose work is selected for exhibition will also have the opportunity to feature on the SeeMe Gallery on Artsy and develop an ongoing working relationship with Standard Arts, for consideration among the firm’s future curatorial projects.

About The Yard

The Yard is a revolutionary co-working office space that, among the myriad amenities offered by The Yard is a rotating art program at each location. The Yard Flatiron North is located at 246 Fifth Ave. in a classic New York City pre-war building. Each floor at The Yard is painted a distinctive bright color that provides a sense of identity and branding unique to this location. Additionally, the pops of color serve as a playful backdrop for art installations.

The Yard is not open to the public, but Standard Arts can arrange accompanied viewings of the art installation during business hours to showcase chosen artwork to potential buyers in a live environment.

Submission Guidelines

We encourage artists from all backgrounds and styles to submit your work. Artists that participate and follow these submission guidelines will be eligible to be featured in the The Yard.

Please read these guidelines carefully before you begin:

1. All mediums are welcome but the exhibition is open to wall works only. The Yard’s content guidelines stipulate no portraits, nudity, or political content.

2. If selected, the artwork must be display-ready and the artist must bear the cost to ship to New York for the exhibition. Standard Arts will cover installation and provide art insurance.

3. You may submit as many pieces as you would like within your portfolio. Standard Arts will curate the final art selections from each finalist’s available works.
